Monsoon Season

It is definitely monsoon season here in Havasu!  This past week we've been having some CRAZY weather!  Mostly hot & rainy= muggy, muggy, muggy!  Yuck!  We've got another month or so until it starts cooling down a bit- and by cooling down a bit I mean like in the low 90's during the day- haha! That's Havasu for ya!

Our week was pretty good.  Busy like usual.  Ryder is a pro at getting around in the walker as well as rolling over now which everyone is enjoying and excited about. He also had his first taste of rice cereal and gobbled it up!  He is so smiley and brings a lot of extra joy into our home :)   Levi is really into a show called "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood" lately.  It's kind of a spin off of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood.  It's pretty cute and teaches some good lessons.  Max is enjoying Preshcool and is excited for his 5th Birthday coming up in a couple weeks.  He's really into Legos right now and wants to have a Lego Birthday Party.  Jon is doing well in school and likes moving from class to class during the day now that he's in 5th grade.  He says it makes the day go by much faster.  Taylor is adjusting well to Middle School and likes it except for the bus ride.  I can't imagine it would be much fun to ride a crowded bus in the 100+ degree weather with no air conditioning.  Poor kid!

Tyler is getting settled back into teaching with the first quarter well under way.  He changed up his rules a bit for this year and is being a little more strict so the students are behaving better this year.  He's excited that football season has started, but disappointed with the Cougars first game yesterday.  I'm afraid I'm going to have to remind him often that there are little ears and eyes listening and watching what he says and does.  He gets a little excited sometimes during football games!

Maybe I've just been super tired lately and haven't heard him wake up, but the last couple of nights it seems like Ryder has been sleeping better!  Hopefully he keeps it up!  It's kind of nice getting to sleep for more than 2-3 hours at a time!  :)

Hope everyone had a good week!
Ryder's first bite of rice cereal!

Our neighbor-lady brought over a package of cupcakes-
you know the kind that have tons of ooey-gooey frosting on top?
Max and Levi really enjoyed theirs!!
