The Texas Christensens, (Don't be jealous, Josh!)

 We have been settling in.  I think we only have one more room with boxes to unpack and then we are ready for all visitors!!!  (Or you can come now if you want and we will push the boxes aside and let you sleep in Maddie's room)  We are trying to get out and see things.  We have FHE in the back yard with some of the nicer looking bugs, (butterflies).  We even ventured out to the great Texas State Fair where we saw a dog show and petting zoo, ate carny food, (including funnel cakes,) and participated in a backyard circus.  Kristie and I finally got our first date alone in Texas and spent it at Olive garden and then saw Taken 2.  The theater is in the Harbor District and has a beautiful cascading waterfall with a walking path around it that drains right into the lake.  

Work has been good.  After work has been great.  We love our house and spend a lot of time in the theater room after the kids go to bed, mostly watching Modern Family and Downton Abbey.  We love the neighborhood and the ward and are excited for the mild winter.  We try not to dwell on all of the wonderful things we are missing out on in Idaho like the frost on the grass and the colors in the canyons and the smell of fall in the air.  Instead we are focusing on the great new fall memories we will be making here.  We have super fast internet, so if you want to Skype or FaceTime, just give us a ring.
