I was released today as R. S. president. I have been in limbo for the past two months...The new President ( Julie Gneiting :) ) was asked the first part of OCTOBER....so crazy! On the one hand, a big weight has been lifted, but, on the other hand lifting the weight has created a void.....of course that is a tempory condition... I have my new work schedule, which includes a 5:00 am to 5:00 pm ( at least) daily assignment...including Saturdays...:) The good thing is, we have improved everything so much, and made everything so much faster, that it (the schedule) could change for the better.
I had a wonderful Thanksgiving thanks to the Durst family! Yummy food and great company....even if the kids thought my hitchhiker was all wrong....:) (Guesstures) The search for the perfect Christmas Tree in the POURING rain was memorable. It left me wishing once again that we all lived a little closer. I love the times we can get together, though, and reading our family blog seems like we are all so much more connected. Now if I could get the rest of my house decorated and all of the boxes put away, I would be perfectly happy!!!! Oh, and I would also be very happy if the cute whoville props for the ward christmas party family photos that Dan and Mel helped me with ( did for me :) ) work, and the pictures all turn out!
YAY! You're released!!! That schedule is kinda nice actually-except when you are and Lynne going to go walking?? :) Which reminds me, I need to get that picture of the two of you up on the blog! haha! And I really hope the pictures turn out too.....so much pressure!!!
ReplyDeleteThat makes quite a day for you. Even if you know it's coming, it's a strange mix of emotions when you're released from a calling where you're so directly involved with so many individuals. You did a wonderful job. Heavenly Father loves you and will keep blessing you for it.
